Pleasantville junior basketball player Joelle Johnson is tied for first in points per game across the entire State of Iowa.

Johnson is averaging 24.9 points per game in her junior year which is tied with Lindsey Davis of Nodaway Valley for highest points per game average across the entire state. On November 28th Johnson broke the school record for most points scored by a girls basketball player in a game when she put up 39 points against Melcher-Dallas. Along with being a force offensively, Johnson also has been solid defensively for the Trojans averaging over six rebounds and over three steals per game. Johnson and the Pleasantville girls basketball team are 4-5 on the season and will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Lynnville-Sully.
