The Indianola City Council met in regular session Tuesday evening, swearing in returning council member Josh Rabe, and new council members Steve Armstrong and Melissa Sones.

The council denied a resolution referring a zoning code amendment request regarding allowable uses in the C-2, Highway Commercial Zoning District to the Planning And Zoning Commission, after a request from a property owner to allow self-storage units in a 5-0 vote.

Before the meeting, the council met in a work session to review the FY25 budget, and to go through orientation with legal counsel.
