The Simpson women’s basketball team blew out the Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan Wednesday night in American Rivers Conference play 94-48, while the Storm men fell 97-62. The Storm men gave up 49 first half points and scored only 24 themselves as they got off to a slow start and never got back into the game. Andrew Gibb led the team with 16.
The Storm women did the opposite with a stellar start, leading 22-8 after the first quarter, but gave up 26 second quarter points to hold a slim 36-34 lead at the break. However the defense clamped down in the second half only allowing 14 points to earn the win. Cassie Nash scored 20 points.
