The Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Squad returns to the court tonight after a break hosting Tri-County. The Sabers have had an uneven start to their season standing 3-3 and coming off a win over rival Melcher-Dallas back on December 15th. Coach Mateo Varese tells KNIA/KRLS Sports now that January is here, there are some things his team would like to accomplish.
Varese: “We’d like to play on Saturday in the conference tournament. We think we should be in the championship or 3rd and 4th place. The guys would like to bring home some hardware, I think that would be a lot to them. We want to advance in the district and make some good things happen.”
Tri-County is 0-10 on the season and has been struggling to get any offense going scoring 40 points just one time this season. Defensively the Trojans have given up 70 in three of their last four games. Tip-off is set for 7:30 at Twin Cedars.
