The PCM boys basketball team defeated the Montezuma Braves Thursday night while the girls team came up short in a non-conference varsity doubleheader.

The Mustang boys defeated the Braves 59-48 and were led in scoring by senior Jake Wendt who had 19 points and junior Gavin Van Gorp who had 16. After the win, the PCM boys improve to 6-5 on the season. The Mustang girls fell in their game to Montezuma 48-39. Addison Steenhoek led the team in scoring with 17 points while Tori Lindsay had 11. The loss drops the PCM girls to 7-4 on the season. 

Both teams will be back in action tonight when they travel to Nevada for a Heart of Iowa Conference varsity doubleheader.
