The Pella Opera House will be hosting up-and-coming country music group Old Hickory later this month on Saturday, January 27th. 

Old Hickory is a country trio out of Nashville, Tennessee that will perform songs from their debut album that was released in September, as well as covers of 90s and current country songs. Tickets for the show are available now and cost is between $35-$50. Local singer/songwriter and Pella Opera House Associate Director Jara Johnson says that she heard about the group through a mutual friend and thought they would be a great fit to play at the Opera House. 

“One of my mutual friends I happened to be watching on my Instagram mentioned this new group called Old Hickory and I was interested. And so, I kind of went down that rabbit hole of listening to their music and I thought, oh my goodness, they were singing like 90s country and some originals and just had great harmonies for these young guys and I thought, man, they, they could be great for the Opera House.”
