The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams defeated Colfax-Mingo in dominating fashion Thursday night.
The Trojan girls offense came alive, and they put together one of their best defensive performances of the season in a 65-17 rout of the Tigerhawks. Junior Joelle Johnson was the leading scorer on the night with 21 points. After the win, the Pleasantville girls improve to 5-6 on the season.
The Trojan boys had their best offensive outing of the season thus far defeating the Tigerhawks 81-36 by a massive 46 point margin. Freshman Braylon Bingham led the Pleasantville boys in scoring on the night with 29 points while senior Dayson Leerhoff had 20. The win moves the Trojan boys to 3-6 on the season.
Both teams will be back in action tonight for a West Central Conference varsity doubleheader in Truro against the Interstate 35 Roadrunners with the girls game starting at 6:15 pm, and the boys game to follow.
