While it was not pretty at times, the Twin Cedars Boys Basketball Squad beat Tri-County in the Sabers first game back from break 53-41 on Thursday. The winless Trojans were able to hang with the Sabers early and were leading 11-7 when the Sabers went on a 10-0 run to take the lead for good and gradually pull away. Sophomore Holden Roberts told KNIA/KRLS Sports it was good to get back to the court and win knowing tougher games are on the horizon.

Roberts: “It’s really nice. We’re going into the tough stretch playing a lot of conference games, and like Coach said this was a good game for us right out of break because we have a tough game tomorrow night at Moravia, and more conference games next week.”

Roberts led a balanced Saber attack with 13 points, Gavin Clark had 12 points, Dallas Smith scored 11 and Kaden Kloster had ten points, Smith added nine rebounds to his box score. Twin Cedars is now 4-3 and will travel to Moravia tonight.
