The Pleasantville boys wrestling team finished fifth overall and PCM finished sixth at the Mustang Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.

The Trojans finished fifth out of 14 total teams with 147.5 team points. Tommy Booth finished first on the day while Blake Rowson, Caleb Cook, Zane Mullenix, and Carter Metcalf had second place finishes. Pleasantville wrestling coach Heath DeForest tells KNIA/KRLS sports that overall his team did some good things at a tough PCM tournament putting themselves in a good position to be contenders. DeForest says his team didn’t have the final round they wanted but they are ready to get back to work and put their best foot forward in a big conference week coming up.

The Mustangs finished sixth with 139 team points. PCM had first place finishes from Tucker Wheeler at 144 pounds who improved to 29-0 on the season, and Hewitt Brinegar at 150 pounds. Kaliber Fry placed second on the day, while Kaden Clark and Wyatt Wheeler placed third.

Both Pleasantville and PCM will be back in action on Thursday as the Trojans host a home quad and the Mustangs travel to South Hamilton.
