Brian Rollison, Camden Bontempo and Sterling Pariza all set new program records as the Simpson College men’s gymnastics team began year two with its second highest team score at the Michigan Tri-Meet.
The Storm tallied a 366.000 in their season opener, improving on last season’s debut by nearly 25 points. Michigan won the meet with a 404.900, while Greenville took second with a 383.500.
Simpson broke the program record on still rings by over three points with a 61.350, and the Storm also registered their highest-ever team score on parallel bars with a 61.950. The previous school record was 61.050, scored twice last season. The Storm’s score of 366.000 was the highest team score behind a 367.150 scored on Feb. 17, 2023.
