American Legion Post 89 is sponsoring the start of a Chapter of the American Legion Riders in Pella. The new officers for the Legion Riders were sworn in by Cliff Barker, 6th District Vice Commander, and the Iowa Department Director for the Iowa Legion Riders did the installation of the officers. Also present were Iowa Department Chaplin and Legion Rider Whitney Smith McIntosh and Iowa 6th District Commander Don De Kock. The new officers are John Hill, Tim Baar, Jeff Knutson, Jimmy Tyree., Justin Herson, and Brad Bierman. Legion Riders must be a veteran and a member of an American Legion Post.
