The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of a scam. A release says a scammer calling from the number 515-884-5322, which may show up as a different number or a cloned Warren County Sheriff’s Office number, and is posing as Lt. Burrows. The scammer is attempting to extort money from victims to take care of alleged warrants. The Sheriff’s Office wants to remind residents no one from the office or any other law enforcement office will call to take care of warrants over the phone.
