WorkSMART Connector is once again hosting an information session for parents and students who want to learn more about apprenticeships and other work based learning opportunities. The event will be held at Weiler in Knoxville this Thursday, January 11th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. — which was rescheduled due to this week’s winter storm, and is open to high school students and their families in the area (including, but not limited to, Pella, Pella Christian, Knoxville, Pleasantville, Twin Cedars, Melcher-Dallas, and Oskaloosa). Students can learn about work-based learning opportunities in construction, early childhood education, hospitality and culinary arts, information technology, manufacturing, patient care, and welding. Employers and participating students will share their experiences during the hour-long session. Learn more about the WorkSMART Connector here.
