Both teams won five bouts but the Loras College men’s wrestling team had the advantage in bonus points for a 22-17 win over Central College Thursday night.

Central got off to a 9-0 lead after winning by decision in the first three bouts, as David Vukobratovich won 13-8 at 125 pounds, Brock Beck won 9-7 at 133 pounds and Pierre Baldwin won 10-4 at 141 pounds. Loras won the next four, including two pins and a major decision. Sam West and Gage Linahon rallied for major decisions at 184 and 197 pounds, respectively.

The Dutch fell to 8-2 and 1-2 in the league and their next competition is the American Rivers Conference duals next Saturday in Waverly. The Dutch dual with Buena Vista University, University of Dubuque and Wartburg College starting at 10 a.m.
