The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams fell to Van Meter Tuesday night in a home West Central Conference varsity doubleheader. 

The Trojan girls dropped their contest to the Bulldogs 56-34 to fall to 5-8 overall and 2-6 in the conference. The Pleasantville girls were led in scoring on the night by junior Joelle Johnson who had 23 points.

The Trojan boys fell in their contest to the Bulldogs 72-66 to fall to 4-7 overall and 2-6 in the conference. The Pleasantville boys saw an offensive explosion from freshman Braylon Bingham who came away with 37 points in the contest, while senior Dayson Leerhoff had 16. The Trojan girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action on Friday when they host Des Moines Christian.
