Early this morning, Accura HealthCare of Pleasantville had to conduct a full evacuation due to a pipe issue causing damage to the dining room ceiling. 

Emergency responders were onsite quickly and notified the Accura HealthCare staff to evacuate all residents as a necessary precaution. According to Accura, no residents were in the dining room area at that time and no resident injuries have been reported. The situation is ongoing and the provider said all residents are safe in a press release. The majority of Accura HealthCare of Pleasantville residents have been transferred, and Accura HealthCare is working to relocate the remaining residents that are still on-site. Accura HealthCare expressed appreciation for the rapid response and assistance of area emergency responders as well as their staff and surrounding facilities.
