Winter weather and wind chill advisories return to the region starting later today for additional snow and bitter cold. National Weather Service Meteorologist Brooke Hagenhoff says to expect additional light to moderate blowing snow this afternoon through the early morning. That will be followed once again by dangerous wind chills ranging from 20 to 30 below zero possible through Sunday morning, with air temperatures well below zero expected in the overnight. A much warmer week is on the horizon, however, that could be complicated by potential rainfall, which could cause concerns related to refreezing of roads.
