Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas fans will be treated to an extra game with arch-rivals tonight as the Saber boys travel to Southeast Warren High School to play the Saints. In the team’s last meeting, the Sabers dominated the Saints 61-29 in December. In the game, Holden Roberts led three players in double figures with 21 points. The Sabers also limited Melcher-Dallas to just 16% shooting from the field. Both Roberts and Kaden Kloster tell KNIA/KRLS Sports while they are still young, the team is looking forward to the challenge of tonight and the rest of the season.
Holden: “We’re the top 2 guys on the team. We’re young and keep getting young players and just learning everyday.”
Kaden: We’re just young and make a lot of mistakes, but we’re learning and keep getting better.”
Saints Coach Matt Bennett hopes the long layoff will not harm his team. Tonight’s action is set to start at 7:30.
