The Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad embarks on the start of the Bluegrass Conference Tournament with likely an unenviable task, playing the #2 seed Moravia. The Saints and MoHawks played earlier in the season and fell 73-22 on December 4th. Coach Matt Bennett knows this is an uphill battle for his team and Moravia will be good for a while.

Bennett: “They’re an all around good team. I don’t think they have a weak shooting on that team, even their 2nd string can fill it up, they’re just a really good team that’s going to be good for a while.”

Should the Saints pull the upset it would send them to Mormon Trail to face the winner between Murray and Moulton-Udell. A loss put the Saints in a consolation round game against the losing team from the Murray and Moulton-Udell on Thursday at a site to be determined.
