
Competing as the road team at Statesmen Lanes in Oskaloosa Saturday afternoon, the Pella Christian bowling teams were swept by the host Indians. The Eagle boys fell to Oskaloosa 3074-2134, while the Pella Christian girls squad lost to the Indians 2483-1439. Alex Van Gorp led the way for the Eagle boys on the day, bowling a 353, followed by Andrew VanKooten at 330 and Evan DeJong with a score of 281. The Eagle girls were led in the loss by Macy Van Der Hart at 239, Bella Pu with a 194 and Emmalee Steen at 177. The Pella Christian bowling teams fell to 0-6 on the season and now turn their attention to a busy week ahead. The Eagles travel to Ames on Thursday for a meet against Gilbert, before traveling to Cedar Rapids for a non-conference meet against Isaac Newton Christian Academy on Saturday.
