The Knoxville Little League is in desperate need of volunteers for all positions ahead of the 2024 season.

The league that starts games in April and runs until June is the primary little league for both baseball and softball in Knoxville. Currently the Knoxville Little League is short on coaches for every single division, along with team parents as well. The league also does not have anyone to run their concession stand for the upcoming season or do groundskeeping at the fields. These volunteer positions need to be filled to make this league happen. Knoxville Little League President Jared McRoberts says the league needs volunteers stepping up.

“The volunteers are what makes little league happen. Without volunteers we wouldn’t have a little league. The kids wouldn’t be able to play the sport. They wouldn’t be able to be a part of a team. It’s important to have the help of the community to make this happen.”

Registration to sign kids up for Knoxville Little League closes on Saturday. If anyone is interested in volunteering for the 2024 Knoxville Little League season you can contact them on their Facebook page or email knoxvilleiowalittleleague@gmail.com .
