The Indianola City Council met in a special work session Monday evening discussing the FY25 budget.

According to state code, every city must prepare a budget and show expenditures for each program, income from sources other than property taxation, amount to be raised by property taxation, and the property tax rate expressed in dollars per one thousand dollars assessed valuation among others. A public hearing will be scheduled later this spring for the city budget, in addition to the maximum property tax dollars hearing.

Budgets are due to the state by April 30th.
