The Pleasantville boys basketball team defeated West Central Valley on the road Monday night as the girls team came up short in a West Central Conference varsity doubleheader.
The Trojan boys defeated the Wildcats 61-52 to move to 5-7 overall on the season and 3-6 in the conference. The Pleasantville boys were led in scoring on the night by senior Dayson Leerhoff who had 23 points and freshman Braylon Bingham who had 21. The Trojan girls fell in their contest 44-36 to drop to 5-9 overall and 2-7 in the conference. The Pleasantville girls were led in scoring on the night by junior Joelle Johnson who had 16 points.
The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action tonight when they host Earlham in another conference varsity doubleheader.
