The PCM girls basketball team defeated Saydel Tuesday night while the boys team came up short in a Heart of Iowa Conference varsity doubleheader.

The Mustang girls picked up a commanding 53-27 win over the Eagles to move to 11-4 overall and 7-2 in the conference. The PCM girls were led in scoring on the night by junior Addison Steenhoek who had 23 points. The Mustang boys lost their contest 55-52 to fall to 7-8 overall and 4-5 in the conference. The PCM boys were led in scoring on the night by junior Gavin Van Gorp who had 17 points.

The PCM girls and boys basketball teams will be back in action on Friday when they host Perry.
