The Heart of Iowa Regional Transport Agency (HIRTA) has announced the acquisition of nine new Ford Transits to their fleet of vehicles.

These new vehicles gave HIRTA the ability to retire older buses and introduce more efficient models that will enhance service and significantly reduce maintenance costs. All of the new Ford Transits feature the message “For anyone for any reason” and Mobility Outreach Coordinator Danny Schnathorst says it was to highlight their commitment to serving everyone in the communities they operate in.

“The reason for the slogan is, a lot of people think that it’s only for people with disabilities or for the elderly, but we want to make sure that people know, you can ride HIRTA too, anybody can ride.”
