It should come as no surprise that an Indianola team with eyes on contending for a state dual championship was a heavy favorite heading into the annual Little Hawkeye Conference tournament, and even less so that they won in dominant fashion. The Indians scored 265.5 team points and claimed eight individual weight class championships to earn the league title at Pella High School Saturday. Perhaps even more impressive was that Indianola did not finish worse than 3rd in any of the brackets.

Indianola’s Individual Champions:
120 – Stoney Wood
126 – Ryan Hilton
138 – Eli Cox
144 – Elijah Blewitt
150 – Jake Pontier
175 – Dax Clatt
215 – Carson Slorah
285 – Jaxson Boyd

Pella put together arguably their best-ever overall performance in the conference tournament after several impressive finishes in the last few seasons. The Dutch placed 2nd with 193.5 team points, led by individual champions Damion Clark (132), Logan Bruxvoort (165), and Jackson Van Kley (190). Clark won his third conference title in four seasons, and Bruxvoort has his second.

Norwalk tied for 3rd with Dallas Center-Grimes at 179 team points. Tyler Harper (113) and Dominic Tigner (157) were conference champions in their weight class.
