Newsweek, along with Plant-A Insights Group, recently announced that Community 1st Credit Union has been recognized as one of America’s Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions for 2024. 

Community 1st Credit Union received a five-star rating on a five-star scale and this accolade is based on a comprehensive analysis of 9,440 financial institutions across the United States, highlighting the top 250 regional banks and 250 credit unions.

Community 1st Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative with more than $950 million in assets. The credit union, established in 1936, serves nearly 70,000 members. They have more than 290 employees and are headquartered in Ottumwa. Locally, the credit union has branches in Albia, Chariton, Indianola, Knoxville, Oskaloosa, Ottumwa, and Pella.
