The Best of Red Rock 2023 announcement event took place Tuesday morning at Cordova Park. 

The Best of Red Rock contest is sponsored annually by Marion County Development. The purpose of the contest is to promote excellence in hospitality and service throughout the county’s tourism industry. Top ten lists were announced at the event for ten different categories along with individual winners for 25 different categories split into four different areas including foodie, services, lodging, and shopping. 

Some notable winners announced for the 2023 Best of Red Rock awards were Cordova Observation Tower and Park as best thing to do, Raiment Fashions as best shopping, Checkerboard Restaurant as best dining, Pella Tulip Time Festival as best event, and Lake Red Rock at sunset as best photo spot. Marion County Development Commission Executive Director Carla Eysink says this event is a great way to thank those who make Marion County so welcoming.

“It’s a very exciting time. It’s a very wonderful opportunity for us to thank all of the businesses and attractions, all the folks who make our visitors feel so welcomed here in Marion County.”
