The National Speech and Debate Competition is taking place in Des Moines this year in June, hosting over 6,000 students from over 2,000 schools from the National Speech and Debate Association.
As part of the program, Simpson College is providing free lodging for 80 students competing in Des Moines as part of the Road to Nationals Fund, which provides financial assistance to schools who are lacking financial resources to attend the National Tournament.
