Area high schools will participate in the Iowa High School Speech Association’s State Large Group Speech Contest at Pleasant Valley High School on Saturday. Pella High School will have 16 entries perform in the event, while Pella Christian High School has seven performances at Pleasant Valley. Pleasantville High School has 10 events that will perform in the Large Group Speech Contest on Saturday and PCM High School will have two performances. The Iowa High School Speech Association’s State Large Group Contest at Pleasant Valley High School is scheduled to begin at 8 am Saturday morning.
