The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams will be hosting Albia tonight in a non-conference varsity doubleheader.

The Trojan girls are 6-11 overall and coming off a 65-27 loss to Chariton Saturday night in their last contest. Pleasantville will now take on the 5-11 Blue Demons who are coming off a 42-37 loss to Knoxville on Tuesday night. The Trojan girls have been led in scoring this season by junior Joelle Johnson who is averaging 21.4 points per game.

The Trojan boys are 9-7 overall and are coming off a 75-48 victory over Woodward Academy Tuesday night to pick up their fifth straight win. The Pleasantville boys will now take on the 8-7 Blue Demons who are coming off a 68-54 loss to Knoxville Tuesday night. The Trojan boys have been led in scoring this season by freshman Braylon Bingham who is averaging 22.3 points per game.

Tonight’s varsity doubleheader in Pleasantville starts with the girls game at 6:15 pm and the boys game to follow.
