The Indianola Fire Department again saw a record number of callouts over 2023, growing their calls from 2022 by 3%, after an 11% increase from 2021 to 2022.

Chief Greg Chia tells KNIA News training has a lot to do with the increase in efficiency and decrease of response times over the past year, and his growing staff has put in 5,000 hours of training each year for the last two years.
