The Melcher-Dallas Basketball Squads will have a rather unusual night tonight. The boys will travel to Wayne while the girls travel to Diagonal. The boys have just one win on the season but Coach Matt Bennett has seen progress with his team and hopes to see more tonight. The girls on paper at least are a heavy favorite over Diagonal. But that does not let Coach Kelsey Goff and her team’s guard down. She tells KNIA Sports they will use this game as a tune up for the class 1A regional which starts on Thursday.

Goff: “Kind of looking at it, just to see, let’s get tuned up rather than practicing since that’s what we’ve done the last 3 months. We want to go down there and fine tune on some things before postseason start”

The girls will play early and top off at 6:00, while the boys are scheduled to begin at 7:30.
