The Simpson women’s and men’s basketball teams were swept by Loras in a make up game Monday evening, the women falling 83-75 and the men 95-77.

The Storm women trailed by as much as 17 in the first half against #15 Loras, but would eventually close the gap to just two late in the fourth, but ultimately couldn’t get in front. Cassie Nash scored 21 points, and became the fifth Simpson women’s basketball player to eclipse 1,500 career points.

The Storm men had a lead as large as 8 over the Duhawks in the first half, trailing by just one at halftime 45-44, but ran out of gas in the second half and gave up 50 points. Andrew Curran scored 21 to lead the team, as the Storm shot just 6-20 from long range.

The women are now 12-10 overall and 7-6 in conference, while the men are 8-14 and 2-11, and both teams next play tomorrow hosting Nebraska Wesleyan.
