Oaths of office were administered to Police Officer Jordan Babcock and Fire Deputy Chief Trenton Bacus at Monday’s Knoxville City Council meeting. 

The council also awarded a contract to Sternquist Construction LLC. for the Street Improvement Project, approved a service contract between the city and Veenstra and Kimm Inc. for building inspection services, approved a resolution accepting easements for Terrace View Knoxville LLC and adopted an ordinance relating to the speed limit on Attica Road. The meeting concluded with approval of the city union contract and a presentation was given by City Manager Heather Ussery regarding the fiscal year budget for the fire department and zoning.
