The Pleasantville boys basketball team defeated Interstate 35 on the road Tuesday night as the girls team came up short in a West Central Conference varsity doubleheader senior night edition.
The Trojan boys defeated the Roadrunners 60-40 to improve to 12-8 overall and 7-7 in the conference. The Pleasantville boys were led in scoring by senior Dayson Leerhoff who had 23 points and freshman Braylon Bingham who had 18. The Trojan girls dropped their contest 52-19 to fall to 6-15 overall and 3-11 in the conference. The Pleasantville girls were led in scoring by Lily Mason who had six points.
The Trojan boys will be back in action on Thursday when they wrap up their regular season on the road at Saydel and the girls will next compete on Saturday when they host Van Buren County in their first regional contest.
