The Knoxville City Council approved a contract for building inspection services at their meeting Monday night.
The city entered into a contract with Veenstra and Kimm, Inc.. The company will be responsible for providing those services necessary to comply with the requirements of the building code ordinance and zoning ordinance for the city. Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery says this is the first time the city has gone with a third party for these services.
“We have been working with Veenstra and Kimm for our building inspection services for about six months now. This is our first time utilizing a third party rather than having a person on staff for building inspections. We’ve been very happy with their experience, expertise, and professionalism.”
This agreement passed unanimously at the meeting.
