The Pella’s girls finished fifth in the Two Rivers Conference bowling tournament. The girls shot a 2177 over 15 Baker games. In their last five Baker game set, they scored 812, which set a new five-game Baker series record.
In individuals, Taylor Walker led the Dutch with a three-game 517 series, which was good for ninth overall. McKenna Salvador finished with a 449, good for 21st.
“I am really proud of the girls’ effort today,” said Head Coach Bryan Smith. “Most of the girls have not bowled this many games in one day for a long time, if ever. They really persevered, and you could see that in their final five Baker games. Taylor had a nice individuals set as well. With state qualifiers on Monday, they put themselves in a good place to make a run.”
The boys are in action today in the same tournament in Newton.
