Four area high school boys bowling teams traveled to Newton Saturday for the Two Rivers Bowling Conference Meet. 

The Pella boys bowling team was the highest finishing team among local schools at the meet, taking sixth place with a team score of 2800. Norwalk claimed an eighth place finish in the meet with a score of 2649, followed by Knoxville in ninth place with a score of 2581 and Pella Christian in tenth place with a score of 2143.

Pella’s Carter Failor secured the highest finish individually among the KNIA/KRLS listening area teams, coming in fifth place with a total of 677. Norwalk’s Andrew Winfrey took 18th place individually with a score of 598. Tristan Carter was Knoxville’s top bowler in the conference meet, taking 26th place with a score of 577. Andrew Van Kooten led the Pella Christian boys in the meet with a score of 454 to take 50th place. 

Find a link to the full results from the Two Rivers Bowling Conference meet here. All four boys bowling squads will now prepare for their State Qualifying meets on Tuesday. The Pella Christian and Knoxville boys bowling squads will compete at Clarke, while Pella and Norwalk compete at Oskaloosa.
