Looking for momentum heading into postseason next week, the Indianola boys basketball team hosts the Scarlets of Des Moines East tonight in a non-conference matchup. The Indians have played well as of late despite not getting into the win column, playing Pella, Pella Christian, and Des Moines Christian close last week and scoring over 50 points in four of their last five games after only reaching that mark in the season five times before that run. Head coach Jeff Ebling tells KNIA Sports the culture of the team this year has been great, and a big part of that goes to the guys on the bench.

“The guys that maybe don’t see the floor that much have been great teammates. They have been supportive of all the guys that see a lot of minutes, and they have accepted their role in practice of really preparing the guys the best they can, mimicking the other teams and running their sets. That’s part of the team. You might not see as many minutes on game night, but we can’t be where we are at without the support of those guys.”

The game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Rob Hawkins on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 7:25pm, with tip-off at 7:45.
