Jay Ceperley of the Simpson College men’s swimming and diving team was named the American Rivers Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week after leading the Storm to a victory over Coe.

Ceperley placed first in both of the individual events he swam in and also helped the 200 yard medley relay team to a win. He is earning his second weekly honor of the season and third across his career.

Ceperley won the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 23.23 and then set a season-best time of 56.76 to win the 100 yard butterfly. Ceperley also swam a 25.23 in the 50 yard butterfly in his relay leg, the fastest leg of any Storm member.
