The Knoxville and Pella Christian girls bowling squads competed at the Class 1A State Qualifying meet on Monday. As a team, the Panther girls came in third place in the meet with a score of 1929, while the Eagle girls were sixth place with a score of 1552. The Knoxville girls were led in the meet by Ciara Heffron, as she finished 10th out of 36 bowlers with a 424 series and a high game of 203. Brigette Renard wasn’t far behind Heffron with a 403 total, and Charlye Willis posted a score of 383 for the Panthers. Emmalee Steen led the way for the Pella Christian girls with a 3 game series of 348 followed by Macy Van Der Hart at 320 and Hope Spencer with a 308 series. The Knoxville and Pella Christian boys bowling team will take their turn competing in the State Qualifying meeting in Osceola today at 10 am.
