The Indianola boys basketball team dominated Des Moines East in a blowout victory in a non-conference matchup Tuesday evening 60-22 as heard live on 94.3 KNIA. The Indians had hot shooting from the start, making three three-point buckets to lead 20-10 after the first, then clamped down defensively while pushing the pace offensively to lead 43-16 at halftime. Indianola grew the lead in the third and began to empty the bench as they ran out the clock for their second win of the season, with all three seniors scoring in their last game at Indianola High School.
Head coach Jeff Ebling said this senior class was important to keep the team together during this transition, and they have all contributed in different ways.
Freshman Easton McGraw and George Blake had 17 and 12 points respectively to lead the team, while Jack Bingaman had 9 off the bench. Indianola improves to 2-18, and closes out the regular season tomorrow at Bondurant-Farrar.
