Redek Born knocked down a pair of free throws with :01 left to give the Norwalk boys basketball team a wild 47-45 win at Class 3A fourth-ranked ADM on Tuesday night.
The Warriors opened the game with a 16-3 run but trailed by five points with 1:14 remaining and were still down three when the Tigers were called for a foul with 30 seconds left. The ADM bench was assessed a technical foul during the free throws and Norwalk converted 3-of-4 foul shots to tie the score.
Due to the technical, the Warriors also got the basketball and held for the final shot. Born was fouled with one second to go and calmly made the winning free throws to cap a 24-point night. Tim Koerselman and Aidan Harder both scored seven points for Norwalk, Cameron Thomas had five and Grady Sigrist added four.
ADM fell to 17-3 on the season while the Warriors improved to 16-4. They will close out the regular season on Thursday night, hosting Dowling Catholic at 7:30.
