Pleasantville senior football players Dayson Leerhoff and Logan Courtney have signed to play football at Briar Cliff University in the fall.

Courtney was a vital part of the Trojans offensive line in his senior season and recorded 11 tackles on defense. Leerhoff had 20 receptions for 381 yards, and three touchdowns at the tight end position as he received second team all-state honors. Leerhoff also recorded 33.5 tackles and 4.5 sacks on the defensive side of the football. Leerhoff says he wants to be a big piece of what they’re building at Briar Cliff.

“They just got a brand new coaching staff everywhere. I like what they’re building there and I want to be a big piece of that. They have been real with me from the start and I haven’t had any questions about them. They have made me feel like I can go there and be part of a family there.”

Briar Cliff is a private university in Sioux City, IA.
