The Indianola High School Jazz Bands competed at the Morningside Jazz Festival last weekend, where Jazz 1 placed 3rd out of 14 bands from Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Senior tenor sax player Jakob Kjellberg was named the overall outstanding soloist for class 4A, while other solo awards went to Reagan Sher on vibes, Keegan Tilley for guitar, and Reed Robbins for tenor sax.
