The Norwalk boys basketball team closes out the regular season tonight with a home game against Dowling Catholic at 7:30 p.m.

This is the Warriors’ third contest of the season against a Central Iowa Metro League squad. They previously lost to Class 4A 4th-ranked West Des Moines Valley 51-41 in December and were defeated by 4A No. 8 Ankeny on Monday night, 66-64.

Norwalk enters the game with a 16-4 overall record following Tuesday’s come-from-behind 47-45 victory at 3A 4th-ranked ADM. Senior guard Redek Born has been on a scoring tear, averaging 30 points during the Warriors’ last five games.

Dowling Catholic, which recently stopped a three-game losing streak with wins over Ankeny Centennial and Des Moines Lincoln, is 10-11 on the season. The Maroons feature a balanced scoring attack with four players averaging between 13.6 and 9.7 points per game.

Tonight’s contest can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA as well as kniakrls.com (KNIA3). Pregame coverage will begin at approximately 7:15.
