The Pleasantville boys basketball team knocked off Roland-Story on the road Thursday night to earn a trip to the Class 2A District 8 finals.

The Trojans led the 17-3 Norseman 21-13 at the end of the first quarter and went into halftime tied 29-29. Pleasantville outscored Roland-Story in the third and fourth quarter to defeat the Norseman 65-58 in the district semifinals. The Trojans were led in scoring by senior Trent Jolly who put up 26 points in his best offensive performance of the season. Pleasantville will now travel to Boone on Tuesday night to take on the South Hamilton Hawks in the district finals.
