team-4

An improvement for the Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad this season is the turnover category. In their win over Grinnell on Monday, the Panthers committed just six for the game and none in the 2nd half. Knoxville also took care of the ball in a win over Chariton in the regular season finale on Tuesday. Coach Troy Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he has ball handlers at all positions not just the guards.

Pearson: “Whether it’s Kaiden Smith, Koby or C-Will we have a lot of guys that can handle the ball. It’s when we get up to 15 turnovers is when we lose, and if we can bring those down we’ll likely get the W.”

Knoxville stands at 14-7 on the season and will travel to Newton on Monday in the first round of the class 3A sub state.
