The Pella Aquatic Center is offering lifeguard training classes, starting this month. Participants must be at least 15 years old with the ability to swim 100 meters, tread water without the use of arms or hands for one minute, and retrieve a 10 lb. brick from the bottom of the pool.

Classes are held mainly online with a mandatory one-time in person training and will be held in February, March, April, and May. Training is provided at no cost for those working at the Pella Aquatic Center. For more information, call 628.1882 or to apply online, visit cityofpella.com/jobs
